Just Wednesday, we had the
distinct pleasure of being among the first visitors to Patek Philippe's
new, state-of-the-art US headquarters. Located in a gorgeous, sprawling
space above Rockefeller center, the new offices of Patek Philippe USA
(or the Henri Stern Watch Agency, as it is officially known) were
designed specifically to cater to both the demands of its (occasionally
very high profile) clients, and to create a light, organic work
environment for its employees.
Specifically,
they took great care in creating the new after-sales watchmaker's studio - which
sits right above Fifth Avenue and across the street from
the famous St. Patrick's Cathedral - arguably the best work environment we've ever seen for watchmakers in this country. It currently houses 18 watchmakers, but has enough room for up to 40 at any given time, and the room uses a special filtration system to ensure the room remains at least 90% dust free, with a poured, anti-static floor. Think that's cool? It is, and here, President of Patek Philippe USA, Mr. Larry Pettinelli takes us through it all. Enjoy!
