2014 marks the 60th anniversary of Longines filing a patent for the Conquest. To celebrate the occasion, Longines is introducing the Conquest Heritage 1954-2014 at Basel this year. It’s a throwback design that captures the original in nearly every way, even in size at just 35mm. The original Conquest has lived on as a modern classic thanks to quality movements and beveled dial. The new Conquest Heritage 1954-2014 looks to continue that tradition by paying homage to its past.
The Conquest Heritage 1954-2014 will be offered in steel, yellow gold, and rose gold with the yellow gold getting two dial options, a silver sunburst and a gilded option reminiscent of the original. All will be built in limited, numbered editions. Unlike the original, the new Conquest will come with an ETA 2824/2 (L633 in Longines terminology). And again, this re-issue will be sized at 35mm, a step not often seen when paying tribute to the past.
